| Spotlight on Josué
Josué Pérez, 27
Police Officer / Semifinalist on Univision's "Objetivo Fama" Season 5
RGVS student since November 2007
"My experience recording for the showcase was excellent. I have never
prepared a song with such detail and found that it is one of the most
helpful things I can do. I entered the recording studio with
confidence and was able to complete the song without difficulty. The
Annex was a very professional environment and made me feel as though I
was already a recording artist just coming in to record the vocals for
my up and coming hit. Rocío's helpful instructions and motivating
critics made the experience educational, relaxing and fun. I can't
wait to hear the finished product!"
Josué first contacted us looking for "emergency voice lessons." He had walked past the auditions for "Objetivo Fama" and decided on the spot to audition... resulting in being chosen for the final 26 that same day. With only 2 months to prepare before flying out to Puerto Rico and very worried about his lack of power in the high notes, we worked on expanding his upper range by an entire octave and strengthening the 'money notes', as well as general performance and stage presence skills. He finished the show as a semifinalist in the top 10.
