"I was surprised I was picked because I had only been with Rocío for a few months. But it's been a really interesting experience, and it's a lot harder work than I tought it would be. I think the studio really stands out and just realizing that artists aren't perfect and don't need to record in one take. What a ridiculous thought now… Also preparing 'Unwritten' made me really realize how hard it is to get a song just right, but I gave it my best shot and I know I'll get better at this."

When Lauren first came in she was unable to even sing on pitch. But it wasn't due to being tone-deaf (which most people aren't anyway), it was more of a 'get the voice to sing the pitch the ear hears' coordination issue, which she accomplished in record time. She was able to tap into her high range at lightning speed, and improved tremendously on her diction as well. While we're still working on relaxing her voice overall and getting to absolutely clear diction, we love the uniqueness of her voice.
