"It was a delight to be selected for the Showcase! We decided to choose a song that required effort in preparing rather than one I was already familiar with. 'Black Velvet' is a great song of emotion and story. Recording at The Annex was awesome - Russell is *the man*! Knowing I had 60 minutes to meet, greet, record and edit was a ride! Thanks to Rocío for the great opportunity and experience!"

Teri was referred to us through Stanford Voice Clinic. She didn't have any vocal trouble, but her doctor wanted to make sure that it stayed that way and sent her to us. She is a local performer who had gotten way too engrained in song keys that were too low for her range, because she felt unable to "belt it out" or even sound decent in the higher ranges. She's been working really hard on changing this, has found a very good balance in her range already, and continues to strengthen her upper range. Teri is no longer afraid of higher keys and is having a blast singing songs she used to be "afraid of". Now she's focusing on the storytelling aspects of singing and planning her first solo album.
