The RGVS Teacher Training Pogram - in partnership with IVTOM (International Voice Teachers of Mix)
Beginning or experienced voice teachers now have the opportunity to learn our technical methods by joining the IVTOM Teacher Training Program. Participants receive training through workshops and conferences specifically designed for teachers, working with mentors in private lessons, observation, and a subscription to a password protected area of IVTOM's website which contains training materials such as articles, audio/video of workshops, audio/video of application with students, video tips, training tips, etc.
Rocío Guitard has been training teachers in the US and Europe for over a decade. She acts as IVTOM's Director of the Mentor Program, which has developed a concise methodology to guide instructors through the labyrinth of identifying, prioritizing and addressing vocal issues, song application, vocal anatomy/acoustics and pedagogy/psychology principles. During the training you will learn to put into words what you're hearing, determine the cause of it, and find the right tools to help your students with precise, clear-to-understand instructions. Your questions, comments and feedback determine the materials we constantly add to the training area of IVTOM's website.
We offer different membership options for interested teachers. Those who are new to teaching voice or to teaching the mix methodology can join at the associate level to receive all necessary training to become accredited by IVTOM. Teachers already familiar with teaching mix have the opportunity to join as accredited members after completing an evaluation of their teaching skills. Interested in finding out more? Then visit IVTOM's website, call us at (650) 802-8134, or e-mail us.
